Paradise Island emerges in the spring with a brilliant yellow centre with a narrow dark green edge. The red petiole bleeds into the base of the leaf as with the parent plant. In summer, the brilliant yellow leaf interior changes to chartreuse, but the dark border remains. Lavender flowers top the clump in late summer.
